Digg

Results: What users appear on Digg's front page the most?

Over the course of 12 months, these 25 Digg users appeared on the front page more than any other Digg user. With a total of 822 combined stories, this handful of users controlled 30.7% of all the front page material on Digg. Moving upwards, it can also be seen that the top 50 Digg users control 43.1% of the home page, and the top 100 users control 58.2% of the home page.

Looking back to past studies in 2006 and 2007, when the top 100 users controlled 56% and 44% of Digg’s front page material (respectively), this new statistic actually shows a move in the opposite direction in regards to power users on Digg. Numbers previously showed the influence of the top 100 users going down, but over the course of this 12-month study, they went back up, even higher than the 2006 numbers.
